Each student will receive a SEASON PASS to the Laguna Art-A-Fair — for each workshop they attend.
The instructors will have them for you when you arrive to class. All workshops are 4 hours per session, from 10:15am to 2:45pm (unless otherwise specified). Open to individuals 16 and older, unless otherwise specified (12-15 permitted with parent/guardian participation.) All materials are provided (except as noted). Workshop fees are non-refundable. Beginning collage techniques using textures and patterns — exploring imagery of world scenes and nature (ocean, safari, etc.). You will learn how to choose proper materials and different techniques for collaging with paper.

Capture the rhythmic movement of the ocean in a colorful, geometric mosaic.

In this workshop, we will create a bold and rhythmic work of art using my signature paper mosaic style. We will dive into the satisfying process of cutting and gluing a geometric design inspired by the ebb and flow of the sea.

While the pattern is provided, you have the creative freedom to choose from four different color arrangements to match your personal taste. The process is a perfect blend of focused precision and relaxing creativity. You will leave with a finished 5x7 inch piece made of high-quality, archival cardstock that looks stunning on its own or tucked into an 8x10 inch matte board (provided for those who want it). Come enjoy a creative escape and walk away with a professional, handcrafted piece of the ocean!

Please bring a sharp pair of scissors.

In this workshop, we will explore the intersection of nature and geometry as we build a vibrant garden scene using just a simple square as our base. I will guide you through the process of cutting and arranging pieces of paper to reveal a bold, stylized floral pattern.

You can customize your final piece to your own tastes by choosing the primary color for your bloom (yellow, pink, blue, or purple) and then select from four different color arrangements to make the design your own. This structured and meditative experience turns precision into a relaxing art form. You will leave with a handcrafted 5x7 inch piece made from archival, acid-free cardstock that is ready to be displayed as-is or placed in a provided 8x10 inch matte board. Join me for a colorful day and leave with your own blooming masterpiece!
