LAAF is again accepting donations for a silent auction, which will be displayed throughout the summer, beginning on Premiere Night. This year, all of the proceeds will go to our new Laguna Arts International Foundation (LAIF), whose mission is to encourage and support youth art programs in Orange County.
Participation is first-come-first-served. As there is a finite space for the silent auction display, submission of this form does not guarantee participation space will be available. Donated pieces can be delivered starting at the Member Meeting on May 10. The contact is the Silent Auction Coordinator, Sandra Morrison - Contact email: smorrisonbiz@gmail.com.
Due to space restrictions, donated pieces must be no smaller than 7.5” and no larger than 16” x 20”, including the frame. Two-dimensional pieces must be framed or gallery wrapped, and ready to hang. Three-dimensional work will be displayed on pedestals - the number of pedestals available is limited. Jewelry will be displayed in a locked case to be provided by the donating artist. Each donation will display the artist’s name, booth number, auction number and title of the piece. Please complete the section below to ensure the accuracy of the information posted. The auction will close at end-of-business on August 21st, to allow adequate time to contact all winners and get the items to their new homes. In the event a piece either receives no bids, or the bid winner declines the piece or cannot be reached, the item will be returned to the donating artist.
Please note, per IRS tax law, and contrary to popular thought, deductions for donated art are limited to the cost of materials used to create the art piece that are not otherwise deducted in "Cost of Goods Sold".
