FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Opera Night Encore at Laguna Beach Art-A-Fair
Laguna Beach, July 28, 2008 - On Thurs. evening, August 7, 6 – 8 p.m., one of the most popular nights from last year’s Art-A-Fair festival in Laguna Beach will have an encore. Opera Night, sponsored by the Art-A-Fair Foundation, features graduate students from the CSU Long Beach Cole Conservatory of Music and their professor David Anglin presenting popular opera excerpts and show tunes. The performance will be held in the Piazza Venezia Courtyard. Last year, the student performers brought the house down and listeners were so impressed with their talent that three scholarships totaling $7,500 were spontaneously awarded on the spot!
The Long Beach Cole Conservatory has been an internationally-recognized program for the past 40 years and has launched many careers, so you may find yourself listening to the next Beverly Sills or Pavarotti.
There is no additional charge this evening. Regular admission prices range from $3.50 to $7.00 for a ticket allowing unlimited admissions throughout the season; children under 12 and locals (with ID) free. Wine, beer, snacks, and their award-winning margarita cocktail are available from the Tivoli Too! bar.
There is free trolley service from Act V parking lot, located on Laguna Canyon Road approximately 1/2 mile inland.
