FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Every Day is ‘Resident Day’ at Art-A-Fair

July 7, 2008, Laguna Beach, CA – The Art-A-Fair has announced it’s “All Free, All the Time” program for Laguna Beach residents and invites locals to view the artwork created by 125 exhibitors at no charge any time the Art-A-Fair is open. Present photo ID at the ticket booth and receive a complimentary ticket, which also serves as a season pass.

And every single day from 5 to 6 p.m. Tivoli Too’s award winning margaritas are priced at two for one to celebrate Happy Hour.

New this year is “Through Artists’ Eyes – Unique Perspectives Created by Exhibiting Artists” every Friday from noon to 3:00. Working from the same model, several artists create works of art in their particular style and medium. This gives visitors a real sense of the process and artist interpretation.

An exciting lineup of live musical entertainment is presented on the Art-A-Fair stage Sat. (1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.) and Sun. (noon to 3 and 4 to 7 p.m.), and includes jazz, reggae, Motown, blues, classical, steel drum, and surf music. On Thurs., Aug. 7, graduate students of Cal State University Long Beach Opera Institute, will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. This event brought the house down last year.

Every day from 10 to 4, there are hands-on workshops taught by exhibitors for budding artists of all ages. Among the offerings are Venetian mask painting, creating a birdhouse, scratchboard art, mask making, palette knife painting and painting animals with acrylics.?

In addition to art, workshops, music, and demonstrations, patrons can enjoy full meals, snacks, wine and beer, for sit-down or take away to eat elsewhere on the grounds. Non-residents can download a half-off coupon from the Art-A-Fair website, www.art-a-fair.com. Regular prices are $3.50 to $7.00.

Complete schedules for entertainment and workshops can be found online at www.art-a-fair.com.
